The USCSS Corbelan IV is one of several mining haulers owned by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation on Jackson's Star. It was used by a group of colonists to scavenge supplies and materials from the decommissioned Renaissance station to escape to Yvaga III, a planet unaffiliated with Weyland-Yutani.
History[]
In 2142, Jackson's Star colonists Rain Carradine, Bjorn, Navarro, Tyler Harrison, Kay Harrison, and synthetic Andy took the USCSS Corbelan IV to travel to the decommissioned Renaissance research station in hopes of escaping the horrible conditions of LV-410 and fleeing to Yvaga III, a planet unaffiliated with Weyland-Yutani. Once the Corbelan IV was docked with the station, the group searched the station for stored containers of cryofuel to make the long voyage. However, in the process, they inadvertently activated the station's lockdown protocol and released frozen Facehugger specimens. while also falling victim to a hive of Xenomorphs. In the aftermath, Rain, Andy, and Kay were able to board the Corbelan IV and escape the Renaissance station before it crashed into LV-410's ice rings.[1]
Though it seemed they were safe, Kay's unborn baby mutated as a side effect of injecting Compound Z-01 and she gave birth to a Xenomorph-Human hybrid called the Offspring, which subsequently killed Kay and damaged Andy. However, Rain was able to eject the cargo hold with the Offspring in it and board the Corbelan IV. She and Andy went into cyrosleep to prepare for the voyage to Yvaga, but not before Rain made a video log about the recent events and voiced her uncertainty about what the future held.
