The TNR Shoulder Lamp is one of the standard USCM kit regularly equipped during missions. The device is usually strapped on the rear left shoulder of M3 Armour and Smartgun Operators Armour is a mounting bracket for a high powered halogen white-light TNR lamp. The TNR lamp runs off a rechargeable internal battery and incorporates a carrying handle so that it may be detached and used as a hand torch.
Newer models have a remote neck, which is connected to the marines helmet and moves the light in the direction the marine is looking in.
