Powell was an engineer aboard the deep space mining vessel DSMO Marion. He was serving on the ship above LV178 in 2159 when the miners on the planet below stumbled upon a large number of Xenomorphs deep underground in the mines. The incident eventually led to the destruction of the Marion and the loss of all but one of its crew.

Powell was killed when the Marion crew were forced to confront several Xenomorphs on the docked shuttle Samson in order to retake the vessel for their own needs.

Biography[]

In the days after the collision between the Marion and the Delilah, Powell assisted Hoop and Welford in removing the debris from the shuttle that still clung to the Marion's hull, as well as repairing other damage to the vessel. Powell and Welford also set up observation cameras on what remained of the docking bay deck to monitor the Samson, which was sealed with four Xenomorph aboard.

When the surviving crew realised they needed the Samson to escape, they were forced to open the shuttle and confront the creatures within, armed with only a net and some mining tools. Powell was killed in the ensuing melee, when a burning Xenomorph, set aflame by Hoop's plasma torch, set upon him, killing him with a headbite. His body was subsequently expelled into space when acid blood breached the Marion's hull and caused explosive decompression.

Personality and Traits[]

Of all the Marion's crew, Powell was the most unsettled by the events that occurred above LV178 and at several points came close to all-out panic. However, he managed to keep his head and helped out greatly repairing the ship following the collision with the Delilah.
