Mars was a planet in the Sol System.
History[]
Mars, along with Earth and Titan, was one of the three capital worlds of the Three World Empire. The planet was terraformed over the following years. Valles Colony was established on the planet, and the Weyland Corporation was headquartered there until their merger with the Yutani Corporation. The combined company maintained offices on the Mars, as well as operating a weapons-testing facility on one of the planet's moons, Phobos.[1]
By 2120, Mars fell under Weyland-Yutani Corporation's sphere of influence during the Corporate Era.[2] A medical school was also established on Mars that extended a scholarship to Joe D. Hermit.[3]
By 2183, there were over twenty million colonists living on Mars.[1]
