Ivor Powell is a British producer and a close friend to director Ridley Scott whom he worked with on Alien, as well as several of Scott's other films The Duellists and Blade Runner.

Career[]
Powell first met Scott when they collaborated together on a TV commercial for the BBC. During the production of Alien, Powell recommended Scott to approach special effects artist Roger Dicken whom he had worked with on Standley Kurick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Powell went on to become a first assistant director at RSA (Ridley Scott Associates) in London's West End.
