Incinerator units were flamethrowers constructed by Chief Engineer Dennis Parker on the USCSS Nostromo. After an alien lifeform infiltrated the Nostromo and killed Executive Officer Gilbert Kane and Engineering Assistant Samuel Brett, Captain Arthur Dallas ordered Parker to rig up some incinerator units after Science Officer Ash suggested that most creatures retreated from fire.[1] The incinerator units used pressurized, ultra-thickened napthal that was ignited by a nozzle burner.[2]
