Federico "Fede" Álvarez Mattos (born February 9, 1978) is a Uruguayan filmmaker, best known for his work in the horror and thriller genres. He gained significant attention with his 2009 short film Ataque de Pánico! (Panic Attack!), which led to a deal with Ghost House Pictures.
Álvarez has directed several notable feature films, including:
