Biographical information

Early life

Kash was born in Montreal, Quebec, the son of Canadian opera singer Maureen Forrester and Toronto born violinist/conductor Eugene Kash. He is the brother of actress Linda Kash.

Career life

Kash studied at the Drama Center in London, England and has appeared in dozens of feature film and television series. His first feature was in Aliens as Private Spunkmeyer. He has since gone on to amass numerous credits in films such as The Good Shepherd, The Shipping News, Cinderella Man, The Tuxedo, Lucky Number Slevin, Casino Jack, Fugitive Pieces, Don't Say a Word and the upcoming film On The Road with Kristen Stewart. He has directed three successful short films, Germgirl, Flip Phone and For Lease (released 2007). He played Axel Turner in the Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

Kash also appeared in the television movies Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, The Hunt for the BTK Killer, Crown Heights, Gross Misconduct, Mr. Rock ‘n’ Roll: The Alan Freed Story, The Path to 9/11 and The Last Days of Patton. He was also seen in the television series Nikita, The Event, The Line, A Taste of Shakespeare, Relic Hunter, Goosebumps, Due South, Law & Order, Robocop, Street Legal, The Hitchhiker, Lifetime’s MISSING and Angela’s Eyes. Kash has had a prolific theatrical career including Macbeth and Arturo Ui (Stratford Festival), A Streetcar Named Desire (Crucible Theatre), Unidentified Human Remains (Orpheum Theatre in NYC), Starlight Express (directed by Trevor Nunn), Rigoletto (Theatre Passe Muraille), The Constant Wife (Citadel Theatre), Comedy of Errors (Canadian Stage) and Cruel and Tender (Canadian Stage).

Kash has been nominated for three Gemini awards for Best Actor. He has directed three award-winning short films and five theatrical productions.

Personal life

Kash currently resides in Toronto, Ontario and part-time in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two sons.
