Cyberantics: A Little Adventure is a 1992 children's book written by Stanislaw Mayakovsky and published by DH Press. It chronicles Mayakovsky's experimentation with a cybernetic ant, created by him with the intention of infiltrating an ant colony. The black-and-white novel serves as a tie-in to the four-issue series Aliens: Hive.
Overview[]
As well as being a real-world book available for purchase, Cyberantics also exists in-universe — it is referred to within the comic Aliens: Hive, and both Stanislaw Mayakovsky (the "author") and the cybernetic ant around which the book focusses are characters in the comic series. Although credited to Mayakovsky, the real book was actually written by Jerry Prosser, who also wrote the comic.
