Corporal Ferro was a UD4L Cheyenne pilot enlisted in the United States Colonial Marine Corps. In 2179 she was a part of the platoon of marines dispatched aboard the USS Sulaco on a rescue mission to the Weyland-Yutani owned terraforming colony, "Hadley's Hope" on the planetoid Acheron LV-426.
History[]
Mission to LV-426[]
In 2179, Corporal Ferro and her platoon was sent to investigate the loss of contact with Weyland-Yutani's colony, Hadley's Hope, located on LV-426. After awakening from hypersleep, Ferro spent breakfast aboard the Sulaco's mess hall and conversed with her fellow squad mates. Ferro sat between Corporal Dietrich and her co-pilot, Spunkmeyer.
Ferro and the rest of her platoon were present during the mission's briefing by the squad's new commanding officer, Lieutenant Gorman. During the briefing, Gorman mentioned that the loss of contact "may involve" a Xenomorph. Ferro then listened to Ripley tell of her encounter with a hostile creature that she and her crew encountered fifty-seven years prior, and how it killed off her crew. As the team prepare to make a combat drop down to the planetoid, Ferro and Spunkymeyer were assigned to pilot the dropship, Bug Stomper. Despite experiencing extreme turbulence during the drop, the dropship successfully entered the planetoid's surface. Having located Hadley's Hope after spotting the Atmosphere Processor's light beacons, Ferro and Spunkmeyer had the Bug Stomper land near the colony and dropped off the APC. Afterwards, Ferro and Spunkmeyer left and had the dropship land on a nearby landing pad, staying aboard the craft while waiting for the team to finish their search.
After the rescue team were ambushed by the Xenomoprhs; leaving only Ripley, Newt, Hicks, Hudson, Vazquez, Gorman and Burke as the only survivors, Hicks called in Ferro for immediate evacuation. Unbeknownst to her, a Xenomorph had boarded the dropship while on the landing pad. While flying mid-air, the cockpit door opened and Ferro thought it was Spunkmeyer. As she turned her head she was shocked to see the Xenomorph behind her. Ferro quickly reached for her pistol but the Xenomorph killed her, spraying her blood all over the cockpit window. Thus making the dropship lose control and crash into the APC, as well as damaging the Atmosphere Processor, threatening to melt down the colony.
Equipment[]
In addition to her pilot helmet and aviator sunglasses, Ferro would keep an VP-70 Automatic Pistol with her. Her helmet had ""Fly the friendly skies" written prominently across the front of it.
