A cat was a small domesticated animal native to the planet Earth.
History[]
Rascal was a cat aboard the USCSS Maginot. In 2120, crewmember Rahim attached a camera to the cat's collar allowing Rascal to record events around the ship.[1] Rascal was a victim of one of the specimens collected by the Maginot during its sixty-five year mission. The cat had it left eye removed by a Trypanohyncha Ocellus, and its corpse was reanimated by the creature.[2]
Jonesy was a male ginger tom that was kept aboard the USCSS Nostromo. Jonesy and Ellen Ripley were the only survivors of the destruction of the Nostromo that was caused by an extraterrestrial lifeform that was encountered on the planetoid LV-426 when the crew came across a derelict spacecraft after receiving a distress signal. Both Jonesy and Ripley were able to escape the Nostromo before its destruction through the use of the ship's life boat, Narcissus.[3] After going through fifty-seven years in hypersleep, both Jonesy and Ripley were rescued by a deep space salvage team and were sent to the Gateway Station for medical treatment.[4]
