Aliens 3-D[1][2] was a theme park attraction that was originally proposed in late 1996, following the success of T2 3-D: Battle Across Time at Universal Studios. The attraction was originally set to be constructed at Samsung's EVERLAND theme park in Seoul, with Gary Goddard and his team hired to create the next generation 3D attraction following a deal with 20th Century Fox. The construction of Aliens 3-D came to an abrupt halt when South Korea faced a financial crisis in 1997. The project was put on hold for 90 days and was ultimately cancelled, remaining to this day one of the greatest never-realized attractions of theme park lore.[3]
