The Alien television series was originally planned to be developed due to the success of the film. The intention of making the series was mentioned In an issue of Fangoria Magazine, Issue #6 June 1980 on a small article. According to the article, 20th Century Fox was preparing for the series to be developed and was hoping for ABC to pick up the idea of the Alien TV series. The idea was apparently abandoned as it was never mentioned again.
